One Reason I sell shared image rights...

Professional photographers constantly debate on forums about whether or not photographers should sell their jpegs. I won't address the pros and cons here, but I thought I'd include one reason why I do sell them.

There are so many cute items that make great gifts (or life more fun if you buy them for yourself) that I wouldn't try to provide everyone of the them.

Here is a link to a website that signs you up for photo deals throughout the holidays.

While I would say that their print quality isn't professional, their other products are unique and fun.

Last year, they had a 50% off coupon for this blanket through their "Deal reveal".

My mother-in-law was thrilled with the custom book I had printed with them and it fit our budget better.

Happy Holiday Shopping!

Happiness is...

hanging out with your cousins! Grandpa wanted the cousins' first photo session at Princeton, so I brought them to my favorite spot.

I can't wait for you to see more from this session, but I knew THIS was the picture you have been holding your breath for. : )

What real romance looks like

Back in June, my clients (you may remember this good looking couple from the fountain shots last spring) scheduled a beach session to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their parents .

I was so honored to part of such a meaningful celebration. Nothing is more important to me than my family. Somehow spending time with them made me feel a little reflective "see...marriages still make it. People still do what it takes to make it work." Someday I hope to celebrate decades of love with my kids and their happy, healthy families just like they did that Saturday afternoon on the shore.

Love is a beautiful thing~

So much fun and it isn't even summer here yet!

These girls came to the session wanting it over as quickly as possible. I smiled, agreed and we got to work. (I've learned that longer isn't necessarily better when it comes to sessions) But they were surprised by how much our *work* was. We laughed and giggled as we went about the fun work of fabulousness~ They had such a good time, that they opted to keep going and experiment with me a bit. So in deep contrast to blooming rose gardens and gorgeous architecture, they sat on milk crates in an alley...which turned out to be some of my favorite shots. What a blast!

Darling Miss H

There is no posing a one-year-old, but then again, the energy and emotion are out of this world. This darling little Be-bop was right at home in her Grandma's beautiful yard.

Princeton Area Businesses: Massage Therapist

I love where we live and thought it would be fun from time to time to share casual reviews of positive experiences I have had with local businesses. This is the first casual review.

I love my life, but I often feel like I am stuck on fast forward and can't completely exist in the moment. I've wished for a "reboot" button so that I could drop the tension that hangs on my shoulders and occasionally flares into migraine headaches. I haven't found a way to do that...until now.

Today I drove one of my daughters (who missed the bus) off to school and coached my other daughter via phone until she caught her bus. I finished dishes and started laundry when the doorbell rang. Romy Antoine had arrived with her table in tow. We set up in my bedroom, which made it that much easier for me to relax. I had already set up music I like and she gently suggested we tone down the lighting. Romy has a gentle, but firm touch and a soothing voice...though she didn't talk much. We've been friends awhile, so I wondered if we would talk, but the quiet allowed me to drift. She systematically found all the little points I was clinging on to tension and gently coaxed them to let go. Romy enjoys giving massage and her quiet contentment radiates as she works. By the time she finished, I was a puddle of butter and my ToDo list no longer intimidated me. When I finally spoke, I have never heard my voice resonate so deeply. She had relaxed me so completely that my vocal chords had loosened. It is now, hours later and I still feel peacefully energized from the time we spent this morning.

If you want to try the delightful experience of massage without getting into your car, I highly recommend Romy Antoine. She can be reached at (917)715-8020.

Fountains of Fun~

I love how each session has it's own feel. Tonight was all about going with the flow. M is expecting their second little guy in just a few days. Her son, B, really wanted to play in the fountain and her husband was game.

Some sessions, I pose.

Some sessions just flow~

At this very moment, this tree is the pinnacle of perfection. In order to catch it at it's absolute best, I am offering three mini sessions at 5 pm over the next three days.

Each session is 30 minutes and will simply focus on capturing a more traditional family or individual portrait. It is a smaller, faster session for a reduced price.

It is a perfect way to update the art in your home with an image of those you love.
